I'm running for the State Senate for two reasons.

I'm running because I'm thoroughly committed to service. This is apparent to anyone who reviews my background. It's how I was raised and what I've always done. I've been blessed with fantastic opportunities to lead and to learn, and I have a need to give back.

I know after having served in the House that my presence in Augusta does indeed make a difference to the lives of local people. I feel I have much to contribute. Maine's priority right now needs to be economic development, which has been my professional focus for over 20 years. As a Senator at this point in time, I feel I can make a major contribution to Maine’s future prosperity.
